I was really excited to finnish this piece. its my favorite (and best) so far. I got the idea because i really like book sculptures and i like listening to classical music every so often, so why not make a book sculpture of an orchestra. don't ask how long it took me, I lost track of how long..... my favorite instrument is the piano, i strung it and made sure the inside was as close to a real grand piano as possible the other isdtruments are also based on what pics i could find on the internet.. overall, i think i did a pretty good job at accuracy of instuments and scale. i tried to model the layout of a real orchaestra and got pretty close... but i had to leave a few out due to spacing issues. in case your wondering, its done on an old encyclopedia britanica. It's a wonderful piece, I really like it. I entered it in the BETA state competition, arts and crafts specifically, and it won first place in the sculpture subcategory and took 3rd place overall art piece. i was sooooooooooooo excited. anyways, here it is im working on another one, not orchaestra, but book sculpture.
And congrats on winning the comp ^_^
AWESOME. <3 SIMPLY FANTABULOUS.
